Did you know that 15–20% of the world’s population is neurodivergent? That means 1 in every 5 people thinks, learns, and processes the world differently!
But what exactly is neurodiversity? It’s the idea that brain differences—like ADHD, autism, and dyslexia—are natural variations, not deficits.
🔍 How common is it?
According to research:
Northwestern Medicine states that ”about 15–20% of the world‘s population shows signs of neurodivergence“ (Northwestern Medicine, 2023).
A study in Brain Sciences Journal highlights the importance of understanding neurodiversity due to its ”high prevalence, with approximately 15 to 20 percent of the population exhibiting some form of neurodivergence“ (Ciccarelli & Armstrong, 2023).
